WELCOME TO BERMUDA'S OLDEST PAINT STORE

PAINTING FURNITURE – Going For A Dip

I am a big advocate of painting old furniture.  It’s a great way to upcycle your existing pieces and incorporate them into the changing style of your home.  If you love consignment stores, antique stores or yard sales, it’s the perfect way to score a beautiful piece on a budget.

There are so many creative ways you can repaint furniture but my new favourite is this dipped design.  It’s super easy to do with a little painter’s tape and really gives the pieces a whole new dimension.  Try metallic paint (Modern Masters is my favourite) if you want to add shimmer.  For extra protection follow up with a clear coat.

To give old dated pieces a modern look, don’t forget to replace the hardware.  You’ll be amazed what a difference it makes.
